USC Football Players Reunion…

I’m excited about this weekend.  All the players from USC who played for Coach Jim Carlen from 1975-81 are reuniting this weekend in Myrtle Beach, SC.  Many of us haven’t seen each other in 30 years so it ought to be fun.  This was a special group of young men (now old men) who played for Coach Carlen.  Most have grown up to be very successful in their business life, family life and they have made impacts where they have been planted.  We have entrepreneurs, coaches, preachers, teachers, salesman(insurance, technology, etc) and administrators.  Many are investing in young peoples lives either through their participation in organizations or speaking engagements.  This is a special group.   Ron Bass, better known as “Sunshine” in the movie Remember the Titans will be there along with George Rogers who is also playing in the BMW ProAm golf tournament this weekend.   Here is a recent picture of them…

The thing I appreciate most about this group of men is that they…

1) Handled themselves with Character and Integrity

2) Accepted/Embraced the responsibility of their positions as athletes

3) Invest in young people’s lives every day

We can all make a difference and I hope that today is a day that you can look back on and be THANKFUL for!
